UP&UP offers three types of collaborative, small group training tracks. The first, UAV Apprentice, is geared towards those with little or no experience with UAV's, culminating with the skills necessary to acquire the necessary FAA pilot certification. The second track, UAV Manager, is designed to provide a forum for experienced pilots to come together for more advanced skills, FAA updates, and collaborate on current issues and practices. The third, UAV Master Class, is where experts collaborate to further skills and opportunities, advancing their organization and the industry.
The quickest way to your FAA Remote Pilot Certification, the Apprentice Track is intended for those that have little to no prior experience with flying drones. Even those with some flying experience that are still without their license are encouraged to start with this track. At the end of the three day intensive workshop and two webinars, students will be able to confidently setup, pilot, land, and distribute the collected data from their drone, as well as take the FAA's UAG certification test. Our time together will be spent half in a classroom setting, and the other half outside flying together.
Intended for experienced pilots (12 flights or more) that are generally comfortable with most aspects of UAV operation, the Manager Track is the next step in your successful UAV program. More in-depth flight training, media management, basic thermal imaging, and updates on the FAA's regulatory environment will segue into a collaborative forum where facilities management pilots from across the country can work together to share their experiences. This four day conference will be split between a classroom setting and hands on flying at a variety of locations and environments.
UAV Master Class
Diversify your skillset and experience through new, challenging flying environments and objectives. Designed for those with significant flight experience that are comfortable with most aspects of UAV operation, the Master Class will take your program to the next level. Guest experts, peer collaboration, and access to restricted flying locations provides for a truly unique and beneficial conference. Registration is limited, application for participation is required.
